On Wednesday 25 October at 8.30 pm the Teatro degli Sterpi presents “Fuoricentro – A journey through the Trieste districts” in the Sala Luttazzi of Magazzino 26 in Porto Vecchio.

The documentary, made in collaboration with Oh My Doc, is a journey through the 13 neighborhoods featured in the first edition of the “Trieste Estate Fuoricentro” festival, curated by the Teatro degli Sterpi with the technical support of Hangar Teatri, part of the calendar of the “Trieste Estate 2023” organized by the Municipality of Trieste, Department of Culture and Tourism Policies.

The short film intends to evoke the transformative potential of art and the beauty of Trieste, that of the less visible places located outside of the center.

During the evening of October 25th not only will the documentary be presented, but a moment will also be reserved for a Q & A regarding the Trieste districts and their particularity.

This crossword, created for the occasion by the puzzler Alan Viezzoli, will be solved thanks to the active participation of the public in the room.

Trieste Estate Fuoricentro took place from 13 June to 19 August 2023 with 95 multidisciplinary events proposed over the summer: from creative workshops to circus performances, from musical events to theatrical performances, from cabaret shows to fire shows. The 33 days of entertainment involved 13 districts of Trieste, in chronological order: Servola, Valmaura, Altura, Borgo San Sergio, San Giovanni, San Giacomo, Melara, Opicina, Prosecco, Barcola, Gretta, Roiano and Barriera Vecchia. The shows and activities were appreciated by 5000 spectators who enthusiastically participated and animated the streets and squares of the city’s districts. The review was also carried out thanks to the collaboration of the offices of the Department of Education and Family Policies and the Department of Territorial Policies.

The event, with free entry, is included in the “Una Luce semper Accesa” exhibition in the Luttazzi Room at Magazzino 26 in Porto Vecchio.
