DotART, Exhibit Around APS Trieste, and the Municipality, launch the 10th edition of Trieste Photo Days taking place 27th, 28th, and 29th October.

The event will offer exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses, and talks. The exhibition “Fotografie Urbane: Trieste e la Città del Mondo” will have 621 photos on display raging from Barcolana to street art photography.

“We are always projected towards the future, but we must remember that, quoting a famous aphorism, the future is like a dwarf standing on the shoulders of a giant: the past. I believe that photography actually represents the past, as it is not possible to photograph a future that will come before it has become the present. It is therefore fundamental that, through photography, those who do not know it can relive the past, that is, photography is a way of being able to be dwarfs on the shoulders of those who lived before”, commented the councilor Giorgio Rossi.

Some guests that stand out are Alec Soth and Jérome Sessini, from the Magnum Agency, Kadir van Lohuizen, from NOOR images agency, Lello Fargione, protagonist of the show Sguardi occidentali in Birmania, Pierpapolo Mittica, from the project Vajont Photo Days 1963-2023, with multiple recognitions and more than 50 international awards, and Mariagrazia Berutti, who won the Trieste Photo Days 2022.
