On Friday, November 24th, amidst the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, an event related to the exhibition against “Violence against Women” took place. The event was organized by Le vie delle Foto and held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste in Piazza della Repubblica, Trieste. The proceeds from the sale of the artworks were donated to the GOAP Antiviolence Center in Trieste.

The evening, spearheaded by Trieste entrepreneur Linda Simeone and supported by a group of sixty artists, achieved its goal. A total of 1,100 euros were raised and promptly donated to the GOAP Antiviolence Center in Trieste.

Special thanks are extended to Martina Piccoli for her invaluable presence and support of the event. Additionally, Eppinger Caffè, led by Sebastiano Scaggiante, endorsed the initiative by creating a special treat for the evening called “Red Velvet” and offering everyone a taste of the panettone that qualified as a finalist in the latest international competition.

“Speaking out, engaging in dialogue, trying to unite and share – these are the words of Linda Simeone, director of Le vie delle Foto. “Only through awareness of what happens to women who are victims of violence,” Simeone continues, “can we begin a true rebellion that will lead to a victorious rebirth. Women who experience violence are not alone, and if they seek help, they can be supported in a serious and concrete manner by organizations like GOAP. The future exists: we must believe in it.”
