Trieste’s prestigious Chamber Music Season, the 29th edition curated by artistic director Fedra Florit, promises a captivating journey with “Cromatismi 3.0.” Set at the Teatro Miela from January 17 to December 15, 2024, this season boasts fifteen grand concerts featuring top-tier artists and ensembles from the global chamber music circuit.
The Alban Berg Ensemble Wien kickstarts the series, blending the legacy of the Vienna school with contemporary flair. The program spans from orchestras like the Orchestra d’Archi I Solisti di Zagabria to ensembles championing contemporary chamber music.
Among the featured artists are Luigi Piovano & Friends, Trio Debussy, Quartetto Noûs, Archos Quartet, and the “all-stars” Quartet Sixe. Renowned soloists include Gile Bae, Volodymyr Lavrynenko, and the Biondi-Brunialti piano duo.
The lineup also includes the prestigious international competition “Premio Trio di Trieste” from September 7 to 11. Led by violist Bruno Giuranna, this event attracts top chamber music talents globally.
Notable events include themed concerts such as “Notes of Noteworthy Women” celebrating female composers and a focus on piano quintets featuring Alberto Chines and the Noûs String Quartet.
The season concludes with the Chaos String Quartet’s Christmas Concert on December 15, 2024, at the Hotel Savoia.
