The ski season in Friuli Venezia Giulia is set to officially begin on December 8 across all six ski resorts in the region. From Friday, December 8, to Sunday, December 10, promotional rates will be in effect in various ski areas, and discounted ski passes can be purchased at the ski resort ticket counters.
In Piancavallo, the Casere chairlift and its corresponding slopes, the Daini and Genzianella conveyor belts with serviced trails, and the rail toboggan will be open.
In Sappada/Forni Avoltri, the Campetto 1 ski lift with its respective slope and the Pian dei Nidi chairlift with its namesake trail will be accessible in Sappada. Nevelandia’s season is expected to start on December 18. In Forni Avoltri, the biathlon facility, Carnia Arena center in Piani di Luzza, will open two of the ten kilometers of trails on Friday, December 8.
Forni di Sopra/Sauris will see the Sauris di Sopra conveyor belt and the corresponding beginner slope open on December 8 in Sauris. In Forni di Sopra’s Varmost area, the Varmost 1 and 2 facilities with the Varmost 2 and Senas slopes will be accessible. The Davost area will have the beginner conveyor belt and slopes open. The Fantasy Park will also open on Friday.
Ravascletto/Zoncolan will have the Valvan chairlift open, serving Zoncolan 3 and 4 slopes, along with the Lausc and Cima Zoncolan conveyor belts and their respective slopes. The Pradibosco opening is scheduled for December 18, weather permitting.
Tarvisio will open the Lussari gondola and the serviced slope up to the middle station on Friday, along with the Prasnig chairlift and the Malga slope, the Duca d’Aosta chairlift with its corresponding trail, the beginner conveyor belt, and its slopes.
Sella Nevea will kick off the season with all facilities open, including the Canin gondola, Prevala funifor, Gilberti chairlift, and beginner conveyor belt. The Cai 1, Gilberti, and Prevala slopes, as well as the beginner slopes 1 and 2, the cross-country ring, and the route dedicated to ski mountaineers will also be open. The connection to the Bovec station in Slovenian territory is currently not accessible due to reasons beyond PromoTurismoFVG’s control.
Considering the partial openings planned for the weekend, PromoTurismoFVG will apply promotional rates at all ski resorts from Friday to Sunday: €21.50 for adults, €19.50 for seniors (1949-1959), €7 for juniors (2005-2016) and over 75 (1948 and earlier), and free for babies. Ski@ore options for 3, 4, or 5 hours will also be available at reduced prices at the ski resort ticket counters.
