This Sunday, Muggia welcomes back the enchanting “Court of Miracles” in its Christmas edition: an intimate market featuring small antiques, modern collectibles, craft skills, and artistic creations. The “Court of Miracles” saga continues in Muggia, hosting a carefully curated selection of small antiques, modern collectibles, and artisanal crafts. The cultural association “Cose di Vecchie Case,” marking its 25th anniversary in 2023, collaborates with the Municipality of Muggia to transform Piazza della Repubblica and Via Roma into a captivating display every second Sunday. This carefully crafted showcase features antiques, modern collectibles, handmade creations, and hobbies, with exhibitors converging from across the region.
This Sunday, Muggia once again becomes the gathering place for the special Christmas edition of the “Court of Miracles.” Organized by the cultural association “Cose di Vecchie Case,” this market caters to enthusiasts of small antiques, modern collectibles, and vinyl records, along with vintage comics, miniatures, models, and other memorabilia that are sure to delight. All are invited to explore the parade of memories, including antiques, modern collectibles, and artisanal crafts, displayed in elegant gazebos along Piazza della Repubblica and Via Roma. The event also features seasonal handicrafts, aligning with winter and Christmas themes, promising delightful and unique gift ideas to place under the tree.
From 8 AM until sunset, Muggia will host a much-anticipated event, a perennial source of surprises and opportunities to seize. At the “Court of Miracles,” an array of small curiosities and antiques captures the attention of an ever-engaged audience. As visitors peruse through vintage items and memorabilia, they may not only enjoy a different Sunday but also stumble upon a perfect holiday gift or personal treasure.
The offerings are diverse, spanning beer mugs, antique paintings, precious frames, ceramics, vintage photos, grandma’s dolls, chandeliers, gramophones, and records at 45, 33, and 78 RPM. Additionally, antique volumes, tin toys, phone cards, collectible trinkets, toy soldiers, miniature cars, Smurfs, and plush toys, each with a rich history, emerge from the attics and cellars of private citizens, ready for a second lease of life in the hands of collectors or lovers of all things beautiful.
The artisanal section is equally rich, featuring exquisite glass, ceramics, wrought iron, woodwork, leather goods, painted flowers, ancient lacework, ethnic jewelry, Tiffany glassware, artistic soaps, fabric paintings, and embroidered dolls, including maritime-themed items such as ceramic plates adorned with picturesque views of the Gulf, and of course, festive decor.
Active since 1998 across the region, the association boasts over 350 members. With a quarter-century of experience, the association organizes events with over 100 private exhibitors, including collectors, hobbyists, artists, and artisans. Their collaboration extends to municipal administrations in Trieste, Duino-Aurisina, Muggia, Grado, Monfalcone, Palmanova, Gradisca d’Isonzo, Ronchi dei Legionari, and Bordano. The association’s organizational prowess extends beyond markets, having successfully orchestrated musical events and children-focused activities.
