Giani Stuparich’s acclaimed play “Quell’anno di scuola” returns to Sala Bartoli from January 10th to 14th. Adapted from his masterpiece by Alessandro Marinuzzi and Davide Rossi, the production features Ester Galazzi, Riccardo Maranzana, and young actors from the TeSeO project.
Set in Trieste, 1909, the play explores a groundbreaking moment at Ginnasio Comunale Superiore. Edda, the only girl admitted, challenges societal norms, stirring dramatic encounters with her male classmates.
A product of a summer 2021 literary initiative by Teatro Stabile, the play was inspired by the novel “Un anno di scuola.” Directed by Marinuzzi, it offers a poignant revisit of early 20th-century Trieste, drawing parallels with today’s society.
The performance, a collaboration between Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia and Teatro Stabile del Veneto, addresses themes of youth, independence, and societal change.
“Quell’anno di scuola” runs from January 10th to 14th, with an additional show on January 13th at 6:00 PM. Tickets available at Politeama Rossetti’s Box Office and Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia’s usual channels. More info at www.ilrossetti.it or 040.3593511.
