The ski resorts of Friuli Venezia Giulia are poised for an active weekend, with PromoTurismoFVG orchestrating the opening of nearly all ski facilities and trails. The current blend of sunshine and artificial snow, generated through widespread snow-making operations, is expected to enhance skiing conditions across the region.

Key Points:

  • Snowmaking Operations: A decline in temperatures has facilitated the activation of snowmaking systems across all six regions, leading to an expansion of skiable areas in various locations. PromoTurismoFVG’s technical team is diligently working towards achieving the full operational status of all facilities and trails.
  • Piancavallo Highlights: Except for specific Salomon trails, all facilities at Piancavallo are open for skiing enthusiasts. Additionally, Nevelandia and Palaghiaccio offer options for sledding and ice skating activities.
  • Sappada-Forni Avoltri Status: In Sappada, all ski facilities are open, with the exception of Miravalle. Meanwhile, Forni Avoltri’s Carnia Arena is partially accessible.
  • Forni di Sopra-Sauris Developments: Openings in Sauris di Sopra are contingent on forthcoming snow production. In Forni di Sopra, all facilities are open, except for the Cimacuta chairlift.
  • Ravascletto-Zoncolan Overview: Almost all ski facilities in Ravascletto-Zoncolan are operational, excluding certain carpet lifts. The region offers a variety of trails and ski lifts for enthusiasts.
  • Tarvisio Update: With the exception of the Nuova Tarvisio chairlift, all facilities in Tarvisio are open. Notably, the entire Di Prampero trail is accessible starting this weekend, with additional options available.
  • Sella Nevea Conditions: After trail restoration efforts, all ski facilities at Sella Nevea are open, except for the Rifugio Cai 2. Unfortunately, the connection with the Slovenian station of Bovec remains closed.
  • Practical Tips: To stay informed about slope and facility status, visitors are encouraged to check InfoNeve at www.turismofvg.it/montagna/infoneve. Online skipass purchases are available on FVG Store, and self-service kiosks are operational in select resorts. Two new retail outlets in Amaro and Tarvisio offer additional options for skipass purchases.
