On Saturday, January 13, at 11 a.m., art historian and curator Francesca Nodari will lead a guided tour of the exhibition “Towards the Sea: Dino Predonzani and the Last Transatlantics,” showcasing the most intriguing aspects of the artist’s journey in naval decoration.
The exhibition is set up at the Fini Hall and the Museum of the Sea, Warehouse 26, Old Port, now Porto Vivo.
Featuring sketches, preparatory studies, and naval decoration drafts created by the painter and graphic artist Dino Predonzani between the 1940s and 1960s, in collaboration with naval designers and interior architects, for some of the most significant transatlantic liners of that era.
The showcased works are part of the collection donated to the Museum of the Sea by Lia Brautti, the artist’s niece. Through comprehensive drawings, project details, and photos of the final installations inside the ships, visitors will trace the work of an important artist and glimpse into the history of Italian design.
