Starting this Saturday, January 20th, PromoTurismoFVG will be ensuring the full operation of all ski facilities and the opening of nearly all downhill slopes in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

In Alpine Skiing, the current week has seen significant snowfall, and favorable weather conditions have allowed for the production of artificial snow on trails that previously lacked a sufficient snow base for safe skiing. Shortly, all operational lift systems in the six regional alpine ski areas will be up and running, serving the majority of publicly-owned slopes. This achievement required the efforts of 25 specialized personnel who, since the beginning of the winter season, have overseen the production of an impressive 2,282,000 cubic meters of programmed snow.

Adding to the excitement, night skiing will be making a return from tomorrow, Friday, January 19th, with slopes open from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM on the lower section of the Di Prampero slope in Tarvisio. However, it’s worth noting that certain slopes remain closed at present, including slope A in Tarvisio, Davost south, and Cimacuta bis in Forni di Sopra, Zheile in Sauris di Sopra, and Rifugio Cai 2 in Sella Nevea.

On the Cross-Country Skiing front, all trails in Ravascletto/Zoncolan, Sappada/Forni Avoltri, Sella Nevea, and Piancavallo are open for use. Piancavallo offers an additional treat for enthusiasts with a 1.5 km illuminated track available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Meanwhile, in Ravascletto/Zoncolan, narrow skis can be enjoyed by night every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM along the 1.5 km Pian di casa circuit.

For real-time updates on slope and facility status, PromoTurismoFVG recommends checking the InfoNeve website (www.turismofvg.it/montagna/infoneve). To skip the ticket counter lines, consider purchasing your ski pass online at FVG Store. Automatic ticket machines for various ticket types are available in Piancavallo, Ravascletto-Zoncolan, Tarvisio, and Sella Nevea. Additionally, two new sales points housed in wooden huts are operational – one at the Amaro highway toll booth (open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM) and the other at the Fun park dell’Angelo in Tarvisio (open during the week from 8:45 AM, on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM). These points offer a variety of passes, including ski@hours, daily passes, multi-day passes, ski@always, Carta Neve, Ticket Card, and the option to convert a QR code from an online purchase.
