Get ready for a laugh riot as Miela Theater’s workshops kick off this February with “Crafting a Comic Monologue” led by Stefano Dongetti, a seasoned comedian and writer. Starting Tuesday, February 27th (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), gear up for five weekly sessions every Tuesday, dedicated to honing your comedic voice and writing skills.
This practical workshop delves into the art of crafting comic monologues, from classic cabaret to modern Stand Up Comedy. Explore your imagination, themes, and patterns amidst past and present models. Learn the mechanics of punchlines, jokes, and more in this blend of precision and spontaneity, essential for any comedic performance. Culminate your journey with the exploration and discovery of your unique comedic persona. Embark on a quest for your personal brand of ‘comic madness’ in 10 hours of intensive work, both on paper and beyond, dedicated to the toughest yet most rewarding job in the world: making audiences laugh.
Following the roaring success of its debut edition, on March 2nd, the Autobiographical Writing Workshop – Basic Course, I Remember, tailored for the over 60s, returns under the guidance of Donata Forlenza and Antonio Rota, artistic co-directors of Teatro del Sole, with support from the Casali Foundation.
This workshop aims to provide a platform for individuals who, through age, have amassed a wealth of experiences and memories. It’s a space to engage in shared interests, experimenting with the ability to craft and narrate stories where personal recollections evolve into shared and reimagined artistic experiences. The goal? To compose, through collaborative fragments, a collective diary of memories centered around Trieste and its inhabitants, bridging the past and present of our city.
The workshop, spanning over March 2nd (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM), March 3rd (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM), March 16th (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM), and March 17th (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM), will explore various techniques and expressive realms, including narrative composition, storytelling exercises, singing and musicality, and sharing the outcomes.
