Get ready for a blast from the past as the historic Used Market returns to Giulia on Saturday, February 3, and Sunday, February 4, courtesy of the Cultural Association “Cose di vecchie case” (Things from Old Houses). Every first weekend of the month at the shopping center located at Via Giulia 75/2 in Trieste, you can dive into an elegant selection of small antiques, modern pieces, collectibles, and artisan crafts during opening hours, and the best part? Admission is free.

Vintage enthusiasts and conscientious consumers, mark your calendars! Back by popular demand, the iconic Used Market, a staple since 1996, is set to make a comeback at Giulia. Hosted by the Cultural Association “Cose di vecchie case,” this event invites you to explore a plethora of items offered by dozens of passionate vendors, breathing new life into objects of yesteryears.

The upcoming rendezvous is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, and Sunday, February 4, from 9 am to 7 pm, with free entry to the common areas of the Giulia shopping center. Here, you’ll discover a refined array of small antiques, modern pieces, collectibles, and artisan crafts.

Since 1996, “Il Giulia” has been the go-to spot for the city’s vintage aficionados, hosting the traditional and storied Used Market, featuring small antiques, modern pieces, collectibles, and artisan crafts, all curated by the Cultural Association “Cose di vecchie case.” It’s a carefully curated showcase of antiquities, modern pieces, handmade creations, and hobbies, with exhibitors from across the region.

Step into a world of antiquity, where memories of grandmothers, ancient artifacts, and knick-knacks bear witness to bygone eras. These silent witnesses of the past, miraculously unearthed from dusty attics and old trunks, regain value and dignity on the market stalls, becoming rarities for collectors and unique gifts for those seeking something extraordinary.

The spotlight shines particularly bright on small antiques, modern pieces, and collectibles, featuring vintage vinyl records, comics, miniatures, models, and other memorabilia sure to delight enthusiasts. Additionally, craftsmen, hobbyists, and DIY enthusiasts will showcase their seasonal creations, especially tailored for the winter period.

Among the artistic and hobbyist crafts on display, expect to find exquisite creations in wood, glass, and ceramics, alongside decorated plates, floral compositions, animal-shaped colored stones, finely crafted glassware, antique lacework, and more.

So, mark your calendars for the first weekend of each month from 9 am to 7 pm, and indulge in a treasure trove of Belle Epoque-style (and beyond) delights at the market, turning your shopping day into a unique “treasure hunt” amidst the charming displays.

The next installment of the market will take place on Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, 2024, with the same hours and free admission.

Operating since 1998 across the region, the association boasts over 350 members. With over two decades of experience, they organize events featuring over 100 private exhibitors, including collectors, hobbyists, artists, and artisans, in collaboration with municipal administrations across various cities. They also have a track record of organizing musical events and activities for children.
