On Wednesday, February 7th at 11 am, the Civic Museum of War for Peace Diego de Henriquez, located at 4 Tominz Street, will offer its regular Wednesday guided tour, featuring a free visit to the exhibition “The Bathyscaphe ‘Trieste’: Auguste Piccard’s Project, Diego’s Dream”.

Curated by Antonella Cosenzi and Enrico Halupca, the exhibition explores the development of the underwater vessel with a focus on Diego de Henriquez’s contribution, before delving into the depths of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mariana Trench. The ingenuity and daring of Swiss scientists Auguste and Jacques Piccard will also be highlighted.

Access to the exhibition is included with museum admission and will be open until March 3rd. Additional free guided tours are scheduled for February 14th, 21st, and 28th.

Groups interested in visiting on other days can email: museodehenriquez@comune.trieste.it.
