In a concerted effort to address the complexities surrounding international migration, a series of six public forums is set to unfold in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Running from March 12th to May 14th, these gatherings will convene every Tuesday evening, serving as a platform for education and consciousness-raising.

Led by prominent organizations deeply involved in migrant assistance, including ICS, Diocesan Caritas, and Veritas Cultural Center, the initiative was unveiled during a press conference in Trieste, where leaders such as Gianfranco Schiavone, Giovanni Lamanna, and Luciano Larivera were in attendance.

Father Lamanna, director of Caritas, articulated the primary goal of these sessions: “To foster informed dialogue and understanding, transcending the divisive narratives that often dominate discussions on migration.”

Each session, slated to run from 5:30 to 8 p.m., will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage meaningfully with the issue.
