The highly anticipated Olio Capitale returns from March 8th to 10th, 2024, taking center stage at the Generali Convention Center Trieste in Porto Vecchio. This prestigious event promises a weekend dedicated to the finest quality extra virgin olive oil (Evo), featuring 220 exhibitors and a diverse program of events set to captivate visitors.
Organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Venezia Giulia in collaboration with the National Association of Olive Oil Cities and co-organized by the Municipality of Trieste, Olio Capitale is a celebration of Italy’s rich olive oil heritage. With partners including the National Union of Chambers of Commerce and the Trieste Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event embodies a collaborative effort to showcase the best of Italian olive oil production.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample exceptional extra virgin olive oils from sixteen Italian regions, including renowned producers from Puglia, Sicily, Tuscany, and beyond. Additionally, oils from international participants in Spain, Greece, and Croatia will be featured, highlighting the global significance of this beloved culinary staple.
From guided tasting sessions to immersive workshops, Olio Capitale offers a multifaceted experience for olive oil enthusiasts of all levels. Admission to Olio Capitale is priced at 8 euros for full tickets, with reduced rates available for pre-registration at 6 euros. Shuttle services will be provided from Piazza della Libertà No. 2, ensuring convenient access to the convention center and surrounding venues.
