Get ready for a cinematic journey like no other! Starting March 6, 2024, “MOVIEUNITS” rolls into town, bringing with it a whirlwind of free screenings open to everyone in the picturesque city of Trieste. But wait, there’s more! This film fest isn’t just confined to one venue; it’s hitting up twelve different locations across Trieste, with special stops in Gorizia and Portogruaro.
Sponsored by the University Departments and the Casa del Cinema association of Trieste, with generous support from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Trieste, and in collaboration with ERPAC FVG, “MOVIEUNITS” promises an eclectic lineup that dives deep into the pressing issues of our time.
From the climate crisis to artificial intelligence, from the evolution of work to the challenges of space exploration, these films will spark discussions and offer fresh perspectives on the world we live in. And it’s not just about sitting back and watching; each screening will be introduced by a professor, adding an insightful layer of analysis to the cinematic experience.
