Amidst the bustling ambiance of MIPIM 2024, the premier real estate trade fair held in Cannes from March 12th to 15th, the city of Trieste will proudly present its ambitious urban regeneration initiatives, notably the “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo” project.

For the second consecutive year, Trieste’s presence at MIPIM underscores its commitment to revitalizing its urban landscape and attracting investment. With over 22,000 attendees, including more than 6,500 investors and representatives from 90 countries, MIPIM provides an unparalleled platform for showcasing Trieste’s vision for the future.

Led by Mayor Roberto Dipiazza and accompanied by key municipal officials and representatives from the Ursus Consortium, the Trieste delegation will showcase the progress and potential of the “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo” project within the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region’s exhibition space.

Of particular note is the unveiling of an innovative interactive model developed by Divulgando Srl, offering a detailed representation of the 66-hectare old port area. This model, crafted to a 1:1200 scale, incorporates augmented reality technology, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the proposed developments, from the Linear Park to the Metropolitan Cable Car infrastructure.

Everest Bertoli, the city’s Porto Vivo assessor, emphasized the significance of Trieste’s presence at MIPIM, stating, “It provides a vital opportunity to showcase the progress of our projects to both national and international stakeholders.” Bertoli highlighted the model’s adaptability, designed to evolve alongside future endeavors, including private sector contributions.

The interactive model, now accessible through the portal www.portovivotrieste.it, offers a glimpse into Trieste’s urban future, inviting investors and enthusiasts alike to explore its transformative potential. As the city continues its journey towards renewal, the model stands as a testament to Trieste’s commitment to sustainable urban development and economic revitalization.
