Basketball Trieste proudly announces the commencement of revitalization efforts for the playground nestled in the heart of the Valmaura neighborhood. This ambitious initiative, spearheaded by the organization in partnership with the Pietro Pittini Foundation and the parish of Beata Vergine Addolorata di Valmaura, aims to reclaim a space for communal gathering and athletic pursuits among the youth and local residents.

Distinguished by its collaborative spirit, the project represents a beacon of cooperation between institutional bodies, notably the Trieste ATER, various associations, and the citizenry at large.

Central to its essence is the active engagement of the community: students enrolled in vocational programs facilitated by the Edilmaster building school in Trieste, beneficiaries of the “Beyond that chair” Association, as well as athletes and personnel affiliated with Basketball Trieste, alongside neighborhood denizens, will converge to breathe new life into this cherished locale, transforming it into a dynamic hub for social interaction and recreational activities.

“We are thrilled to initiate the refurbishment of the Valmaura basketball court,” remarked Michael Arcieri, General Manager of Basketball Trieste, underscoring the project’s genesis from the symbiotic relationship between the organization and its local constituents. “This endeavor not only aims to enhance the amenities for our youth but also serves as a tangible demonstration of our commitment to the neighborhood. Witnessing the spontaneous collaboration among students, athletes, institutions, residents, and associations reaffirms our collective dedication to revitalizing this space into a thriving center for community engagement. We extend our gratitude to our sponsors for their unwavering support, as we endeavor to champion a brighter future through sports and inclusivity,” he concluded.
