In a bold move to capture the hearts and minds of travelers worldwide, the picturesque region of Friuli Venezia Giulia has made its mark in the heart of New York City’s iconic Times Square. Through a groundbreaking initiative spearheaded by PromoturismoFVG and endorsed by the regional government, Times Square’s colossal screens now beam with images of the region’s stunning landscapes and unique cultural heritage, captivating the attention of thousands of passersby and smartphone-toting tourists alike.
This unprecedented endeavor marks a significant milestone in the promotion of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s tourism sector, showcasing its rich tapestry of attractions to a global audience. The decision to leverage the unparalleled visibility of Times Square underscores the region’s commitment to enhancing its international profile and attracting visitors from across the globe.
“The promotion of our territory is paramount, and this innovative campaign represents a pivotal moment in our efforts to showcase Friuli Venezia Giulia’s allure to the world,” remarked a spokesperson for the regional government. “We believe that by captivating the imaginations of those in Times Square, we can inspire a new wave of travelers to explore our enchanting corner of Italy.”
The campaign’s impact extends far beyond the dazzling lights of Times Square, with positive outcomes already evident in terms of increased tourism and heightened investment interest. By leveraging the power of digital advertising in one of the world’s most iconic locations, Friuli Venezia Giulia is poised to reap the rewards of its forward-thinking approach to destination marketing.
Furthermore, this initiative signals the region’s broader commitment to fostering international partnerships and economic cooperation. During a recent institutional mission to the United States, regional leaders seized the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, including government officials and industry leaders, to explore avenues for strengthening political and commercial ties.
In particular, discussions with esteemed figures such as the Minister of Economy and Finance and prominent business leaders have underscored the potential for mutually beneficial collaborations between Friuli Venezia Giulia and the United States. With a focus on cultivating strategic alliances and fostering innovation, the region aims to position itself as a dynamic hub for international investment and entrepreneurship.
In addition to its ambitious promotional efforts, Friuli Venezia Giulia is actively pursuing collaborations with leading innovators and thought leaders in fields such as technology and entrepreneurship. A recent meeting between regional officials and the CEO of New Lab, a renowned innovation hub in New York City, has laid the groundwork for potential partnerships aimed at driving innovation and economic growth in the region.
As Friuli Venezia Giulia continues to make strides on the global stage, its captivating blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit shines brightly in the heart of Times Square, beckoning travelers to embark on a journey of discovery in one of Italy’s best-kept secrets.
This is very exciting news! Are there also discussions on direct flights from NYC to Trieste? It’s impossible to get there so easily without having to transfer several places and gets quite costly. We live in NYC and fly to Slovenia or Venice if we need to get to FVG. It’s really quite a hassle. It would be so much easier to just fly direct year round from/to NYC/Trieste.
Thanks.
