From the 6th to 19th of May the Friuli Venezia Giulia Sea Festival takes place with a calendar of more than 50 activities, within cultural, scientific, artistic, historical and sport areas, organized in 30 locations and with more than 45 partners.

Promoted by the Maritime Technology Cluster Fvg with the support of the FVG Region and co-organized with Promoturismo FVG, the Municipality of Trieste, the Municipality of Monfalcone, and the Municipality of Muggia, the festival’s aim is to show the strong connection between the region and the sea and to boost the potential of the actors operating along the coasts.

The events, which will occur on the occasion of the European Maritime Day, will take place in Muggia, Trieste, Duino Aurisina, Monfalcone and Lignano and are aimed at everyone.

I define myself as an unconventional expat: I lived in Budapest for five years and I recently moved back to Trieste. Today I look at my homeland with different eyes, I love to (re)discover places of my childhood or to find new spots around the region. Living abroad and traveling around made me an open-minded and tolerant person and my studies in foreign languages and journalism gave me the right amount of creativity and curiosity to never stop exploring.
