In a recent statement released by the Municipality of Trieste, officials assert that there exists no critique regarding the municipality’s efforts, spotlighting the collaborative endeavors of a working group comprised of national entities and industry experts. This coalition, it’s emphasized, is diligently crafting national tram guidelines, with the historic tram of Trieste serving as a pivotal starting point.

The municipality’s response comes on the heels of a report in the Slovenian daily, Primorski Dnevnik, alleging that the Public Agency for Rail Transport (Ansfisa) forwarded a technical assessment to Trieste authorities. This report purportedly outlines a litany of irregularities and missteps during the recent overhaul of the railway infrastructure, necessitating additional work and costs.

Notably, the municipality contends that certain necessary repairs along the line have long been acknowledged—evidenced by the ongoing operational presence of Aloe, the contractor appointed by the municipality in Opicina. However, the municipality asserts that no action has been taken at the behest of Ansfisa.

Taking a bold stance, the municipality has opted to disclose the technical documents from the Agency, shedding light on the intricacies of the situation and its ongoing efforts towards transparency and resolution.
