In a spectacular debut performance, the Ecoracer 30 “Northern Light powered by Samer & Co. Shipping” sailed to victory at the prestigious Due Golfi di Lignano Regatta over the weekend, marking a triumphant entry into the competitive world of eco-friendly sailing.

Hailing from Trieste, Italy, the Ecoracer 30, affectionately dubbed the “Northern Light,” showcased its prowess on the water, clinching the top spot in the Regatta division of Group C. Crafted with revolutionary rComposite® material by the innovative minds at Northern Light Composite (nlcomp®), this sustainable sportboat promises not just performance but a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Under the skillful guidance of helmsman Sergio Caramel and tactician Francesco Bertone, the Northern Light crew maneuvered flawlessly through light wind conditions to secure victory, leaving seasoned competitors like the X-35 Demon X and Corsa 915 “Moretta” trailing in its wake.

“We aimed to make a statement with our debut,” remarked Caramel, “and this victory speaks volumes about the competitiveness and sustainability of our vessel.”

Looking ahead, the Northern Light Sailing team sets its sights on the Italian Absolute Height Championship in Brindisi, where they aspire to further solidify their position as frontrunners in the sailing community. Beyond the accolades of the racecourse, the Ecoracer 30 serves as a beacon of hope for a greener maritime industry, embodying the ethos of sustainability championed by its creators.

Supported by main sponsor Samer & Co. Shipping and a network of partners including nlcomp®, Netus Yacht Brokers, Onesails Nord-Est, and GTS Sports, the Northern Light Sailing Association is not just about winning races but also about making a tangible difference in the world. Through collaborations with initiatives like Ogyre, the Association is committed to environmental conservation and supporting coastal communities.

As the Ecoracer 30 continues to make waves, its journey exemplifies the intersection of innovation, athleticism, and environmental responsibility, setting a course for a brighter, cleaner future on the open seas.
