Trieste to Host 36th National Infantry Gathering: A Commemoration of Heritage and Unity

The 36th National Gathering of the Infantry of Italy was announced, scheduled to take place from May 24th to 26th in Trieste. The event saw the attendance of local government officials and Mauro Pierazzi, President of the Infantry Section of Trieste.

The gathering signifies a return to collective activities for the Infantry, who will convene in Trieste’s Piazza Unità d’Italia. With over 12,000 members across 450 sections, the event aims to foster camaraderie and solidarity among the Infantry.

Trieste, recognized for its military heritage, will commemorate several milestones during the gathering, including the 400th anniversary of the establishment of the 1st Infantry Regiment and the 70th anniversary of its reunification with Italy.As preparations for the event progress, Trieste looks forward to hosting the Infantry for a moment of reflection and community.
