A recent addition to the Via San Michele Garden in Trieste has garnered attention as the completion of the Scenic Castle Playground brings excitement to the local community.
Installed by R.T.I. Mari & Mazzaroli Spa and Allgreen Srl, the playground marks the first phase of a larger project initiated by Trieste’s Environment, Green Spaces, and Urban Cleanliness Service. This effort falls under the “Extraordinary Maintenance of Play Areas” contract, aimed at enhancing public spaces citywide.
Designed by VSG Italia, the castle features three towers, slides, a Tibetan bridge, and inclusive elements like an abacus panel and tic-tac-toe game. Despite challenges such as inclement weather, the installation was completed efficiently within three days.
Families have already begun enjoying the new addition, with children exploring the playground under the watchful eye of parents. “It’s a welcome addition to our neighborhood,” said Luca Rossi, a resident. “This playground offers a safe space for children to play.”
City officials hope the playground will foster community engagement and provide a recreational outlet for residents. As Trieste continues to prioritize public space improvements, the Via San Michele Garden remains a focal point of urban development.
The Scenic Castle Playground is now open to the public, offering children in Trieste a new area for recreation and play.
