Warm tempretures lasted longer and longer in the fall. For better or worse, this meant early “fall fashion” was really more like an extension of summer fashion.

While everyone was looking forward to breaking out our boots, jackets, and warm scarves, on a September day in Trieste we found several stylish Triestini (and visitors from nearby cities) getting the last wears of out their breezy dresses, linen and short sleeves – though a couple of them were also giving us a little preview fo what was to come.

We can’t say after the long nd hot summer that we weren’t ready for crisp autumn days and cozy sweaters.

We couldn’t help but enjoy that last display of summer’s exuberant colors, vibrant prints, and carefree spirit before teh days started getting a little (ok, a lot) shorter.
