The University of Trieste has officially opened enrollments for the upcoming academic year, promising a wealth of new and dynamic opportunities for prospective students. Starting today, June 3rd, students can access all necessary information and complete their registrations through the university’s dedicated portal.

Broad and Multidisciplinary Academic Programs

The university continues to expand its educational horizons, now offering a comprehensive selection of 43 undergraduate and single-cycle degrees alongside 37 master’s degrees. These programs span three primary macro-areas: technological-scientific studies, life and health sciences, and social and human sciences.

Innovative Additions to Curriculum

In a demonstration of its commitment to academic innovation, the University of Trieste has introduced eight new degree courses over the past three years. This trend continues with the addition of a new first-level course in Dietetics for the 2024/25 academic year, pending ministerial accreditation. Set to commence at the Pordenone campus, this course will qualify graduates to practice as dietitians, emphasizing nutrition education across all ages, and in various sectors including preventive and clinical settings, collective catering, research, and teaching. Enrollment for this course is competitive, with only 30 spots available, contingent on passing the national health professions test.

Preparatory Courses and New Degree Programs

To further support prospective students, the university is offering a free preparatory course on July 17th and 18th for those taking entrance exams for medical and health-related programs. Registration for this course is open until July 15th, or until all 460 spots are filled, via the university’s online form.

In addition, two groundbreaking master’s degree programs will be officially presented on July 1st: Engineering for the Energy Transition and European Policies for Digital, Ecological, and Social Transitions. These programs represent significant advancements at both the international and national levels.

Financial Support and Scholarships

In a substantial move to support its student body, the University of Trieste has increased the no tax area threshold to €30,000 for the 2024/25 academic year. This initiative, applicable to students with an ISEE – University value at or below this amount, accompanies an extensive system of full and partial fee exemptions, reductions, and merit-based contributions. The university continues to offer full exemptions for recipients of Regional Agency for the Right to University Study scholarships, awarded to 100% of eligible students in recent years.

Exemplary Employment Outcomes

Employment prospects for graduates from the University of Trieste remain exceptional. According to the 2023 Almalaurea report, 81.6% of bachelor’s degree holders secure employment within twelve months of graduation, surpassing the national average of 75.4%. For master’s graduates, the figures are even more impressive, with 90% employed within five years and 83% within one year, significantly above the national averages of 88.7% and 77.1%, respectively.

Engaging Prospective Students

The university’s Orientation Office is organizing guided tours of the Piazzale Europa Campus throughout the summer, led by student tutors. These tours require advance booking through the university’s portal. Additionally, prospective students can meet with orientation professionals and student tutors in person at the Front Office, or remotely via the university’s Virtual Classroom.

Summer Training Modules

In a final initiative to attract and prepare future students, the University of Trieste is offering two sessions of Summer Training Modules in July and September. These free sessions are designed for high school juniors and seniors, providing an opportunity to explore the university, delve into specific subjects, and experience the academic environment firsthand. Information on these programs and registration details are available on the university’s website.
