Trieste Honors Pallacanestro Trieste with Thirteenth-Century Seal

In a ceremony marked by pride and history, the Thirteenth-Century Seal of the City of Trieste was awarded to Pallacanestro Trieste, celebrating the basketball team’s triumphant return to Italy’s top league, A1. The event, held in the Council Chamber, underscored the city’s rich sports heritage and its deep connection to basketball.

The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries from the municipal government, including Mayor Roberto Dipiazza, Deputy Mayor Serena Tonel, Councilor Elisa Lodi, and City Council President Francesco Di Paola Panteca. Representing the team were key figures such as Board member Paul Matiasic, Vice President Fitzann Reid, General Manager Michael Arceri, investor Camille Castro, coach Jamion Christian, along with the entire team and staff.
