In a concerted effort to enhance the skills and employment prospects of recent graduates, the Regional Agency for the Right to Study (Ardis) has unveiled a new initiative aimed at reducing the financial burden of postgraduate education. The initiative, announced on the agency’s website, targets master’s programs and advanced courses offered by the Universities of Trieste and Udine, the “Tartini” Conservatory, and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA).
Regional Education Councillor Alessia Rosolen emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “The Region remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering the competencies and abilities of our young graduates. This is essential for their successful integration into the workforce and for enhancing the competitiveness and growth of Friuli Venezia Giulia.”
The funding opportunity is available to graduate students who meet specific income criteria—those with an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) not exceeding 35,000 euros. Eligible students must be enrolled for the 2024/2025 academic year in a postgraduate program that mandates at least 75 percent in-person attendance. The subsidy covers 40 percent of the enrollment fees, up to a maximum of 3,500 euros.
Applications for this financial support opened on June 13 and can be submitted via the official websites of the participating universities and educational institutions. The application deadline coincides with each institution’s enrollment deadline for the respective master’s or specialization courses.
To qualify for the subsidy, students must attend at least 70 percent of the course hours in person and successfully complete the program. The list of beneficiaries will be published on the Ardis website by December 31, 2024.
This initiative reflects the regional government’s ongoing efforts to invest in the education and future careers of its young residents, aiming to foster a more competitive and skilled workforce in Northern Italy.
