Trieste Campus has officially opened its doors to the public, heralding a new era of athletic opportunities for the city. Registration commenced on June 24th, and after a brief initial phase, the comprehensive sports facility is now fully operational.
The campus boasts a wide array of amenities, including a state-of-the-art gymnasium for training, a versatile course room, and various outdoor fields designed for padel, pickleball, tennis, basketball, and volleyball. These facilities aim to cater to Trieste’s sports enthusiasts, providing them with modern, accessible spaces for physical activity.
“It has been a long journey to get here,” said Enrico Samer, president of Trieste Campus. “We put a lot of energy into reaching today, and it is truly a great satisfaction to see all the spaces open to the public and accessible, all dedicated to the people of Trieste who love sports.”
The launch of the campus includes a diverse schedule of fitness classes. Highlights include the “Full Body” workout, led by renowned gymnast Federica Macrì, the “Tonic Postural Concept,” and the “Functional Workout.” Additionally, various yoga classes are available, including pastoral, mantra, dynamic, relaxing, and sports-specific yoga. Under the direction of Gary Lee Dove, the gym is open Monday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
