Summer is in full swing with plenty of things to do in Trieste and around. Here is our list of what’s happening in Trieste during July, with a tip for each day of the month.
1 July. Enjoy ShorTS under the stars at Giardino publico tonight at 9 pm, free entrance.
2 July. Head to Miramare tonight for a magnificent performance en plain air by the Rossetti theater.
3 July. Indulge in pasta alle vongole at the Trattoria Bellariva right on the beach.
4 July. Have a multicultural aperitivo at Bar Tergesteo from 7 pm on and chat in English the night away.
5 July. Head to Amelia’s smart-working area for some peace in the shaded patio.
6 July. Take the boat to Grado and watch its community venture out on boats decorated with flags to the Barbana Island as part of the annual religious procession.

7 July. Trieste is ready to welcome Pope in Piazza Unità this afternoon. Head there early to get a good spot for the Mass.
8 July. Get ready to shop till you drop as the sales start in Trieste.
9 July. Check out Piscina Bianchi‘s outdoor area for a poolside break.
10 July. Have a special night at the opera at Verdi theater.

11 July. For a gorgeous beach day, check out Filtri for its crystal clear waters and sunset views.
12 July. Be amazed by the Duino Castle‘s splendor but book your visit in advance.
13 July. You have a couple more months to visit magnificent Salgado exhibition at the Salone degli Incanti.
14 July. Visit Trieste’s Little Paris.
15 July. Go early to climb Faro della Vittoria and enjoy a birds-eye-view of Trieste.

16 July. Enjoy “Charion Trio” a the Sartorio Garden at 9 pm as part of the “Trieste Loves Jazz”. Bring your dancing shoes.
17 July. Join friends at outdoor Bar Barbacan for a good selection of IPA beers.
18 July. Shop locally at artisanal store Vud in the center for one-of-a-kind pieces.
19 July. There is no better place for sunset watching than the Molo IV.

20 July. Bring the family to enjoy freshly made ice-cream at Oggi gelato shop.
21 July. Every Sunday, discover the most extraordinary fashion accessories at ITS Arcademy, free entrance.
22 July. Source grapefruit and fennel at your local market for a classic summer salad.

23 July. Marvel at the beautiful architecture of Trieste’s San Luigi quarter.
24 July. Perk up at Osteria del Caffè with a cold Caffè Shakerato.
25 July. Check out the children’s activities at Mini Mu museum, now reopened.
26 July. Drive up to Lake Cavazzo for a day of swimming and sailing.
