The opening night of the 50th Social Week of Catholics in Italy drew Trieste’s most prominent figures to the Old Port Convention Center this Wednesday.
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi and President Sergio Mattarella delivered impassioned speeches emphasizing unity and social justice. The event, initially scheduled for Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, was moved indoors due to weather concerns.
