In a testament to regional unity and entrepreneurial spirit, Friuli Venezia Giulia is set to unveil “Saperi&Sapori Fvg,” an event spotlighting the region’s exceptional craft skills and agri-food products. This initiative, part of the prestigious Casa Moderna fair, will run from September 28 to October 6 at Udine Esposizioni in Martignacco.

Sergio Emidio Bini, the Regional Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism, announced the event at a press conference in Udine. “Saperi&Sapori Fvg brings together significant and diverse regional entities and institutions, once again demonstrating the extraordinary ability of our territory to collaborate effectively,” Bini stated. He emphasized the region’s wealth of small entrepreneurs, whose high-quality, yet often under-recognized, products deserve a broader audience.

Organized by the Region in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Pordenone-Udine, Confartigianato-Imprese Udine, Cna Fvg, Cata Artigianato, PromoTurismoFvg, Fondazione Agrifood & Bioeconomy, and Udine Esposizioni, the exhibition aims to give these local artisans and agri-food producers their due recognition.

“The aim of Saperi&Sapori is to enhance and promote some of the extraordinary traditions of the craftsmanship and agri-food sectors of Friuli Venezia Giulia,” Bini noted. The event is designed to appeal to a broad audience, with a particular focus on engaging younger generations.

“The key concepts of the event are craftsmanship, taste, and visual beauty,” Bini continued. “It seeks to highlight quality raw materials and carefully crafted products that respect environmental sustainability, showcasing the identity of our territory and the authentic products that stand out in the market.”

The event will also feature a promotion of the five UNESCO sites in Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Opus Loci project, which offers walking and biking routes to explore the region’s historical and artistic heritage, as well as its gastronomic delights.

In a collaborative effort with PromoTurismoFvg and Fondazione Agrifood & Bioeconomy Fvg, pavilion 8 will host a space dedicated to “Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” merchandise and a wine shop featuring regional specialties. These spaces will be open during the fair’s operating hours, weekdays from 2:30 PM to 8 PM and holidays from 10 AM to 8 PM.

“Saperi&Sapori Fvg” promises to be a vibrant celebration of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s rich artisanal and culinary traditions, offering visitors a unique taste of the region’s heritage and innovative spirit.
