In the historic heart of Trieste, Piazza Hortis is set to transform into a vibrant hub for gardening aficionados this Saturday. From 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the lush expanse will host “R-Invasati, Everyone’s Crazy About Plants,” a celebration of horticulture and nature.
This event, part of a series organized by the environmentally-conscious group Bioest, promises a day rich in activities tailored for both seasoned gardeners and budding enthusiasts. Attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging exchanges and workshops, including plant swapping, flowercrossing, seed exchanges, and book seeding.
A notable feature of the day will be readings and discussions on water, curated by the Italian Women’s Center (CIF). Under the theme “The Harmony of Water and Nature: Past, Present, and Future,” these sessions aim to deepen the public’s understanding of water’s pivotal role in our ecosystem.
Beyond educational pursuits, the event seeks to foster a sense of community among gardening lovers of all ages. Organizers emphasize the importance of this gathering as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, as well as swapping plants and gardening materials.
Musical workshops and guided tours through the garden will further enrich the visitor experience, making this a comprehensive celebration of all things green and growing.
Entry to the event is free, ensuring that everyone, from curious onlookers to dedicated horticulturists, can partake in the day’s festivities.
