In response to burgeoning demand, the Municipality of Trieste has unveiled a major expansion at the Pedocin bathing establishment, specifically targeting its popular women’s area. Starting today, the capacity of this sought-after section will increase from 506 to 750 spots.

The expansion is part of a broader series of upgrades aimed at enhancing the facility’s appeal and functionality. Notably, a newly installed access gate is designed to improve safety and streamline entry during the busy summer months. These changes come in direct response to the sustained popularity of the women’s section, which has consistently attracted the highest number of visitors among the establishment’s various areas.

Local residents and regular beachgoers have voiced their reactions to the upgrade. “The increased capacity is definitely a welcome change,” said Elena, a local resident and frequent visitor. “The women’s area has always been crowded, especially on weekends, so this will make a big difference.”

Maria, a beachgoer, echoed similar sentiments. “I often had to wait to find a spot during peak times. With the expansion, I’m hopeful it will be easier to enjoy a day at the beach without the stress of finding a place.”

The Pedocin establishment, a cherished landmark along Trieste’s coastline, has long been known for its distinct women-only section, which has become a popular retreat for both locals and tourists. The municipality’s latest efforts underscore their commitment to maintaining and enhancing the appeal of this historic site.
