The Castle of San Giusto will mark a significant milestone this summer with the reopening of its exhibition, “1924-2024: A Century of History of the University of Trieste.” The showcase, which highlights the evolution of one of Italy’s esteemed academic institutions, will be accessible starting August 8, 2024, commemorating the University of Trieste’s 100th anniversary.
Set against the historic backdrop of the Bastione Fiorito, the exhibition offers a compelling journey through the university’s past, featuring an array of images and documents that illustrate its development over the past century. The display will remain open to the public until November 10, 2024, coinciding with the castle’s regular visiting hours.
This commemorative exhibition is a collaborative effort between the University of Trieste, the Municipality of Trieste, and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region. It reflects the university’s deep-rooted impact on both local and international academic communities, providing a visual and historical narrative of its contributions and achievements.
