In anticipation of the much-anticipated “Dawn Concert” set to take place on Sunday, August 11, the city of Trieste has announced temporary traffic measures affecting the waterfront area. The concert, a highlight of the summer cultural calendar, will be held on the Molo Audace, a picturesque pier that extends into the Adriatic Sea.
According to Ordinance No. 786-24, issued on July 26, 2024, the city will enforce a traffic ban along key sections of the Trieste waterfront from 4:45 AM to 5:30 AM. This restriction will cover the stretch from Riva Del Mandracchio to Riva Caduti per l’Italianità, including Riva Tre Novembre, specifically between the intersections with Via Di Mercato Vecchio and Piazza Nicolò Tommaseo.
The measure aims to ensure the smooth execution of the event and safeguard attendees. However, exceptions to the traffic ban will be made for vehicles of Trieste Trasporti S.p.A., which operates public transportation, as well as emergency service vehicles, law enforcement, and other vehicles authorized by the event organizers.
Authorities have indicated that further adjustments to these provisions may be made by local police or other law enforcement personnel on the day of the event, depending on the situation and operational needs.
The “Dawn Concert” is expected to attract large crowds eager to experience live music in the serene setting of the early morning hours on the waterfront. The city’s preparations highlight its commitment to both public safety and the successful execution of this cultural event.
