In a significant boost for local families, the city of Trieste has inaugurated its new Family Center, a resource designed to provide essential support and services. Located at Via Rossetti 27, the center aims to address the diverse needs of families through a range of services and programs.

The opening ceremony, held earlier this week, was attended by representatives from local social cooperatives and associations, alongside professionals specializing in family well-being and prevention. The center is poised to become a cornerstone in the community, offering a welcoming space where families can access support for various challenges.

The Family Center is a response to the evolving dynamics of family life, including changes in family size and the increasing complexity of demographic trends. It seeks to provide comprehensive assistance, from educational support and parenting courses to initiatives aimed at preventing bullying and cyberbullying.

Among the services to be offered are socio-educational consultations, after-school programs, and activities designed to foster socialization among children and adolescents. The center will also extend its support to families dealing with social hardship, school delays, and risks of isolation.

This initiative is supported by funding from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region under the National Operational Programme for Inclusion, which aims to address new and emerging needs within communities. By facilitating greater collaboration between public entities, the third sector, and private organizations, the Family Center represents a concerted effort to enhance social networks and strengthen family well-being.
