The Luciani Donation, a significant collection of Triestine paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, was inaugurated at the Revoltella Museum in Trieste.
Donated by Annamaria and Luciano Luciani, the collection includes 116 works by 16 prominent artists, capturing local history through evocative seascapes, cityscapes, portraits, and still lifes. Notable pieces include Vito Timmel’s The Incommunicable (1932). The exhibition, “Donazione Luciani: Triestine Painting between the 19th and 20th Centuries,” will run until October 13, 2024. Admission to the exhibition is free, while museum entry costs €8 for adults and €6 for reduced tickets.
“It’s not every day you receive donations like these,” said councilor for culture, Giorgio Rossi.
