Matteo Parenzan, a promising young table tennis player from Trieste has secured the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, marking a historic moment for both the athlete and his city. In a commanding performance, Parenzan defeated Thailand’s Rungroj Thainiyom, the 37-year-old world No. 3, with a decisive 3-0 victory. The match, held at the prestigious Paralympic Games, showcased Parenzan’s exceptional skill and unwavering determination.
