Mauro Luongo has been appointed as the new director of the Fire Department for the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The announcement was made during a press conference in in Trieste.
Luongo, who previously served as the provincial commander in Trieste from 2019 to 2021, assumed his new position on September 2. He succeeds Agatino Carrolo, who will now head the Fire Department in Sicily.
