A significant weather system is on its way to the region, with a pronounced cold front advancing from Northern Europe, bringing potential severe weather conditions. The Civil Protection Agency has issued a yellow weather alert, which will be in effect from 8:00 PM tonight until 6:00 AM on Friday, September 13.

Residents should prepare for possible thunderstorms beginning this evening, which could vary in intensity and potentially reach severe levels. Meteorologists are forecasting intense rainfall and scattered thunderstorms for tomorrow, September 12. In some areas, these storms could become particularly fierce, with heavy rains expected to impact local communities.

Along the coast, winds from the South will be sustained, creating the risk of a brief but notable sea surge. By the afternoon, winds from the North will sweep across the plains and mountainous regions, with the Bora wind likely to strengthen along the coast in the evening.

Additionally, significant snowfall is anticipated in the higher elevations. Snowfall is expected to begin above approximately 1500 meters in the Alps and 2000 meters in the Pre-Alps, with levels dropping to around 1000 meters in the Alps and 1500 meters in the Pre-Alps by evening. This shift in snow levels may result in challenging conditions for travelers and outdoor enthusiasts.
