The critically acclaimed exhibition Sebastião Salgado. Amazônia at the Salone degli Incanti will close on October 13, 2024. Salgado’s collection, featuring over 200 photographs, offers a stunning immersion into the Amazon rainforest, highlighting its fragile ecosystems and the indigenous communities that call it home.

The exhibition, extended due to high demand and coinciding with the Barcolana regatta, will have special hours on Tuesday, October 8, and late openings on October 11 and 12.

Curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado, the exhibition is designed to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect the Amazon. “My deepest wish is that, in 50 years, this exhibition does not stand as a testament to a lost world,” Salgado said.

Supported by Zurich and illycaffè, the exhibition features a unique Amazônia Touch initiative for the visually impaired and an immersive soundscape by Jean-Michel Jarre.
