The City of Trieste has launched a new initiative aimed at improving public services by collecting real-time feedback from its citizens. Through the program, titled “Your Opinion Matters,” digital totems equipped with touchscreen displays have been installed at key municipal offices, allowing residents to quickly rate their satisfaction with services such as citizen desks and civic centers.
The system, which was introduced Friday at the Barcolana Village, lets users provide instant feedback by selecting from five satisfaction levels. Citizens can also highlight specific areas for improvement, such as waiting times or staff professionalism. Feedback is transmitted in real-time to city officials, enabling more responsive service adjustments.
Councillor Sandra Savino praised the project as a major step forward for Trieste, saying it reflects the city’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. “This initiative gives citizens a direct voice in shaping the services they rely on,” she said.
With 17 digital totems to be deployed across the city by November, the program is part of a broader effort to modernize local governance and make services more accessible and efficient.
