In a city renowned for its cultural depth and historical significance, a new exhibition is offering a fresh perspective on youth, change, and the passage of time. How Beautiful is Youth opened its doors today at Sala Fittke (Piazza Piccola 3), inviting visitors to explore the reflections of young people from the Autonomy Training Service of C.E.S.T., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. The exhibition runs through Saturday, November 16.

The show presents a compelling collection of art and ideas, drawn from the minds of youth who have collaborated with C.E.S.T. since its founding in 1971. The nonprofit, which has long been at the forefront of initiatives that empower people with disabilities to lead independent lives, curated the exhibit under the auspices of the Municipality of Trieste’s PAG (Youth Project Area).

The exhibition explores a wide range of themes, from the changing nature of human existence to the relationship between individuals and the environment. These works invite viewers to reflect on how time transforms both people and the world around them. The young artists delve into questions of identity, growth, and the interconnection between humanity and nature.

One of the exhibit’s highlights is an interactive game that encourages visitors to engage more deeply with the theme of change. In this activity, attendees are invited to guess how certain people have evolved over time—a playful yet poignant reminder of the inevitability of transformation.

“This exhibition is a celebration of creativity and introspection,” said a spokesperson from C.E.S.T. “It allows young individuals to express their thoughts and experiences through art, while also engaging the community in meaningful dialogue about change and the passage of time.”

The How Beautiful is Youth exhibition is open to the public daily, with viewing hours from 10 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 6 PM. It offers a rare opportunity to see the world through the eyes of young people navigating the complexities of life and growth, and to consider how we, too, change with the passage of time.
