Muggia will kick off the holiday season on November 28 at 6 p.m. in Piazza Marconi, with Mayor Paolo Polidori and the town council leading the lighting of the Christmas tree and decorations, accompanied by music from the Amici della Musica City of Muggia Wind Orchestra.
Eight Christmas trees have been placed across the town, decorated with ornaments crafted by local schoolchildren in collaboration with Pro Loco Muggia.
A partnership with Hera Luce has introduced energy-efficient lighting, reducing energy consumption by 68% as part of a public lighting renovation. The project includes the installation of 110 holiday lights, LED upgrades for 2,700 light sources, and an eco-friendly tree made from recycled materials, to be lit on November 28.
These initiatives align with Muggia’s sustainability goals, supporting the UN’s 2030 Agenda and the European Green Deal.
