A beloved tradition in Trieste, the historic Used Goods Market will return in 2025 on January 4 and 5. Organized by the cultural association Cose di Vecchie Case, the market offers a curated selection of small antiques, vintage goods, collectibles, and artistic crafts. Held monthly on the first weekend, it has been a favorite destination for locals and visitors since its debut in 1996.
Located in the Galleria of the Giulia Shopping Center on Via Giulia 75/2, the market features free entry during regular hours, inviting attendees to explore an eclectic assortment of items. From vinyl records and comic books to hand-crafted ceramics and seasonal crafts, the market has something for everyone.
The event is a gathering place for collectors, artisans, and shoppers alike, providing an opportunity to rediscover the charm of vintage and handmade goods. Many of the items on display come with a sense of history, evoking nostalgia while offering unique finds for collectors and gift-seekers.
Cose di Vecchie Case, the association behind the event, boasts more than 350 members and has been organizing similar markets across the Friuli Venezia Giulia region for over two decades. Their events, held in cities such as Duino-Aurisina, Monfalcone, and Muggia, highlight the region’s cultural and artistic heritage.
The Used Goods Market will be open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, offering visitors a festive and creative shopping experience in the heart of Trieste.
Will the market continue through the year always on first Sunday of the month? It used to be 3rd Sunday.
