A unique celebration of musical theater arrives in Italy with The Reunion: West End & Broadway Musical Stars in Concert, featuring acclaimed performers from Broadway and the West End, accompanied by the FVG Orchestra under the baton of conductor Beatrice Venezi. Presented by the Rossetti theater and TAM Teatro Arcimboldi in association with Mercy Productions Limited, the concert makes its European debut with exclusive performances in Milan and Trieste.
The Politeama Rossetti in Trieste will host the shows on January 15 and 16 at 8:30 PM, following a one-night-only premiere at TAM Teatro Arcimboldi in Milan. Headlining the event is Ramin Karimloo, internationally recognized for his performance as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera’s 25th-anniversary production at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert program features over 30 popular songs from iconic musicals.
Joining Karimloo are Samantha Barks (Frozen in London’s West End, Les Misérables film), Earl Carpenter (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera), Hadley Fraser (Young Frankenstein), Holly-Anne Hull (The Phantom of the Opera), and Natalie May Paris (SIX: The Musical). Highlights include selections from Frozen, Wicked, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia!, and The Greatest Showman. The program also includes live performances of songs from Company, The Secret Garden, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, marking their Italian debut.
The concert culminates in medleys celebrating Andrew Lloyd Webber’s works, including Cats, Sunset Boulevard, and The Phantom of the Opera, alongside selections from Les Misérables.
Conducting the FVG Orchestra is Beatrice Venezi, an internationally acclaimed conductor and Principal Guest Conductor at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Orchestrations for the concert are arranged by Adam Hoskins.
Following the performances, Karimloo and Carpenter will lead The Academy, a musical theater workshop at Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia on January 18-19, continuing the initiative launched in Trieste last summer.
Tickets are available through Teatro Stabile’s official outlets, online at www.ilrossetti.it, or by calling +39 040 3593511.
