The Friuli Venezia Giulia region has signed an agreement with INPS to provide an annual €350 subsidy to approximately 13,000 pensioners with incomes at or below the minimum level. Funded by €15 million annually through 2026, the measure aims to alleviate poverty and address inflation-related hardships.
“This is not a one-off initiative but the beginning of a broader effort,” stated Governor Massimiliano Fedriga during the signing. “It fits perfectly within the set of policies Friuli Venezia Giulia is implementing to assist low-income groups, particularly those impacted by inflation and rising costs.”
Fedriga emphasized the importance of streamlined access to the subsidy, noting, “The disbursement will occur automatically through INPS, based on existing data, without requiring an application. This measure reflects our commitment to supporting the most vulnerable citizens.”
The signing coincided with the presentation of INPS’s 13th Annual Report, highlighting regional trends: a higher-than-average employment rate, rising insured individuals, and increased pension amounts. “In a historical moment marked by increasing inequalities, this initiative represents a concrete example of attention to people’s real needs,” Fedriga concluded.
