The Go!2025 train has officially departed, both in the literal and figurative sense. What unfolded was nothing short of a festival of the people—an overwhelming sea of revelers filling the streets and squares of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, turning the cross-border celebration into a historic moment.
Even the most optimistic projections could not have anticipated the sheer scale of the turnout. The response surpassed expectations to such an extent that any attempt to quantify the attendance would feel inadequate. The energy, the unity, and the joy on display told a far greater story than numbers ever could.
This remarkable moment can be experienced through the lens of our photographer, who captured the emotion, movement, and spectacle of a city—and a region—embracing its role as the European Capital of Culture 2025.
