On February 12, a local event in Trieste will offer attendees an in-depth look at the production, properties, and potential adulteration of honey. The gathering, titled “It’s Easy to Say Honey”, is part of the A Journey Through… Taste series and will take place at Via dei Modiano, 5, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Paolo Zucca, a veterinarian and beekeeper based in Trieste, will lead the discussion. His presentation will explore the process of honey production, its therapeutic benefits, and the risks associated with counterfeit or adulterated honey. The lecture is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.
Following the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tasting session comparing locally produced honey with honey available in large-scale retail distribution. A discussion and Q&A session will conclude the event.
The venue is accessible by public transportation, with bus line 37 departing from Largo Barriera and stopping at Strada di Fiume, 223, a short walk from the location. On-site parking will also be available for those arriving by car.
The event requires advance reservations. Interested participants can contact Elena at 340-846-1096 or Tiziana at 328-790-8116 for further information. Updates and additional details can be found on the Facebook pages of Associazione IL PONTE and OrtiComuniTrieste.
